I flew in to New York for this beautiful wedding. I took an overnight flight on Thursday to arrive on Friday at 5am. I was photographing the rehearsal that evening. It's so important to make sure to fly in as soon as you can for weddings just in case things happen-which they did. A few days before I flew out, I lost my driver's license. I still have no idea where it went, but no big deal because I have my passport and I can get a temporary license. Wrong. I show up to the rental car shop where I had a reservation and they dismiss me with attitude once they see my paper license. I'm already tired but I just ask an attendant where I can rent a car with a paper license. He says no one will rent me a car. I have a moment of despair. I sit myself on the ground with my gear and luggage and I cry. Thank goodness for a friend who sent me the Avis website and they say they accept the license. I walk towards the counter with tears in my eyes and say I'd like to rent a car. She could see my desperation and although she looked at my license with skeptical eyes, she finally softened up and told me that I could for a ridiculous amount, I say yes. It had been a hard month for me and I just had this release of emotions. I was embarrassed for even crying, but in that moment I knew God was for me and I would make it to the wedding. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I tell you this wedding was life giving... it truly was. Nina & Justin really are lights in this world. Their wedding was filled with so many moments of joy and love. You could feel it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photographer: @lovelylight_imagery Planning: @jordanmichelleevents Venue: @swanlakecaterer Florist: @florist.song Videographer: @retrosoundfilms Makeup: @angelicartistrybyalexis Hair: @styledby_tiffanyg Dress: @enzoani Invite: @scoutdesignshop Dj: @hvdjsny Rentals: @preferredeventsli Tent: @camelotrentals
