Story Time: Its 2017 and my friends invited me to go to this hiphop show called “They Reminisce”. This show goes through the history of Hiphop, where it was born, how it was born, what happened to it later down the road, etc. One of the parts that had stuck out to me the most was a battle between two DJs, where they were scratching, doing merry go rounds, and dissing each other with vocals of other tracks and it blew my mind! Never had I heard and or seen anything like this!! Fast forward to 2020 I’m in quarantine and notice a homie of mine starts posting him starting to DJ. I hit him up asking about what kinda equipment he’s using and software. He responds so fast and even ends up sending me a link to used controller on eBay. I bought that controller so fast and from there I had fallen in love with the art culture of Turntablism. Now its 2022 and I still have a burning fire of passion for this art and culture. Im constantly learning more and more everyday and my love for this will continue to grow with that. Anyways thanks for listening to my story.
