HAPPY PRIDE MONTH🌈 man oh man where to begin? I love being gay, y’all know that 🤪 I bring it up in just about every convo I can. I’ve been nothing but PROUD to love the people I have loved (siri que ‘shout out to my ex’ by Little Mix😙✌️)🏳️‍🌈 and even more so I have the most incredibly supportive family on this planet. That makes it easy. Along with that comes the realization that very few people have the type of love surrounding them as I do. I’ve seen it first hand. I’ve watched internalized homophobia push the people closest to me away. I’ve seen the ‘guilt’ of loving the same gender consume people, drive them to hide, to bury their feelings, to reject being their TRUE selves and it’s exhausting. I’ve seen lives taken. It’s heartbreaking. This is why I’m ‘extra gay’ whenever I can be- I want being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community to be something all humans, youth to adults, can be proud and OPEN about. I’m here to normalize it everyday, I do, because it is SO NORMAL to me, frick, it’s who I am. From my rainbow bracelets, shoes, and shin pads to my ‘gay cakes’ and crazy advice to just “go kiss the girl and see”, I promise I won’t stop until everyone feels safe, welcome, and happy to be a part of the community in whatever manner they identify ☀️✨💛 Thank you to my family, friends, teammates, coaches, and ALL OF YOU for the love you give me, it has allowed me to be confident and stand up for a community I’m so blessed to be a part of. At the end of the day, it’s all about love, be kind to everyone. Don’t forget: love is love❣️ GAY IS OKAY🌈
