Being a black model, I have always had to struggle with navigating natural hair and how impacts my image within the industry. I am sure a lot of other black models can relate with the experience of not having anyone on set that knows how to do natural hair, having to style it yourself, or being expected to pay to have it done beforehand. Often times in fashion, the portrayal of natural hair is quite limited to the least. I feel incredibly blessed to have been apart of a shoot that uplifts natural hair and its endless possibilities. This is honestly the type of representation I would have loved growing up. I feel blessed to use my job to represent my community in such a positive way. This experience will always stick with me this was my first time working with someone who specialized in styling locs. Shoutout to @hairbyrelle she turned it out for every single look in this shoot.
