Just like that, 2024 has come to an end. Yes, my second half was a little CRAZY in particular, but craziness is not all that happened, and I’ll show you what I mean. . 1) Thanks to @jasynbrazoban, I got to play my music on TV for the first time, all to help bring some more light to @the_chronicles_music FusionFest! . 2) I went on my THIRD tour with the @oceanavenuestompers and @startmakingsenseband! I also played a happy one-off with them all up in Hartford over the holidays at @infinityhall! . 3) The very last UArts Transfusion Ensemble asked me to cook for them, but they all ended up frying me instead. All the love in the world to @lom.lom.lom for the opportunity . 4) A highlight from a hit with @normandavidmusic and The Eleventet. This wasn’t the same night I was officially named *The Steadfast Rob Rutigliano*, but that did also happen. Shoutout to my amazing teachers for letting me play with y’all and give back to the Philly jazz community. . 5) I got to play TWO games for @arsenal! One in Philly, and the other in DC, where I got to see @starphonicsesm again, borrow HIS horn and catch up. Thanks buddy ❤️ . 6) My BIRTHDAY SHOW! One of the last shows I did in 2024, this was one where I tried a bunch of new things and made myself plenty vulnerable in front of my people. And of course, MUCH love to everything @joe__lockwood and @morganwalbridge have done with @nostalgiafishtown. I’m truly excited to see what this space becomes. . 7) @mervthegreat continues to be great like it’s all casual. With his Nonet at least, I’ve been able to contribute to his process and LEARN the most from it, as comes with being friends with Mervin. He’s done nothing but open up my world far and wide. . 8) So while @honestoatts has been calling me for his work, him and @oattsnotes have been bringing the Philly saxophone community together through the @philadelphiasaxophoneguild! . 9) Part of my last stretch of holiday (ish) gigs, I got to reunite with @thevillagersnyc and play their final jam session of the year at @shrineharlem . 10) @rbuonaspina called me to play with his phenomenal big band/orchestra at the @fourthuniversalist, featuring @veronicaswiftofficial (??)
