Designed by @yurisuzukilondon, Totem is part of a new collection of tiles and objects from the first collaboration between @huguetmallorca, Astrid Stavro and Pentagram. Terrazzo and cement tiles and objects are created in small batches using handmade production methods at Huguet’s workshop in Campos in the south of Mallorca. Wanting to create a fun, tactile interaction, the team played with the 3D aspect of the tile material looking at how it could be used. Exploring colour, texture and pattern a series of pieces were formed that can be assembled in various ways to create cute doll-like figures.
