‘Earth is now our only shareholder’ At Birch we don’t claim to be an eco-resort, an environmental business, or a fully sustainable company (yet). Having said that, we try to be better every day when it comes to our overarching environmental approach. All of this to say: we’re big fans of Patagonia (who isn’t?) and the news from its founder, Yvon Chouinard that he has given away his $3bn company to continue the mission to save our home planet proving a responsible business should be a force for good. Patagonia is leading the way when it comes to protecting the planet. But we can all play a part. It starts with the small stuff. The little 1% changes we can make which accumulates over time.
