My lifelong friend, Erica Waldrop, would have turned 50 today. Had she lived, she would have become the most amazing old lady. Instead the Fates took her in her prime. What a gift it was to have known her! If you’ve read Kiki Strike, the character Molly Donovan (pig rodeo champion and renowned juvenile delinquent) was inspired by Erica. To my knowledge, Erica never rode a pig. But I am 100% certain she wouldn’t have passed up the opportunity. The Change is dedicated to Erica for a reason.
