Posted @withregram • @baitulmaal_usa Pakistan facing worst flooding in a decade - EMERGENCY APPEAL The monsoon season has been drenching Pakistan since mid-June. But in the past few days, it has become substantially worse. An estimated 1,000 people have perished in the floods. Millions have been displaced from their homes. Entire buildings have been swallowed by raging waters. Crops and livestock have been lost, and villages have been cut off from main roads and services. We may not be able to stop the flood waters from rising, but we can help prevent hunger and disease from rising – if we act now. Baitulmaal has been on the ground in Pakistan delivering emergency food and water to hard-hit villagers living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces since July. We’re also sending aid to flood victims in the Logar province of Afghanistan. But there are many more people who are either stranded or displaced from their homes still in need of our help.
