Ben Kahan is a current student in USC Marshall’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Master’s Program with a passion for filmmaking and cinematography. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Narrative Production at California State University Long Beach, he knew he wanted to pair his artistic background with a business degree.
“I have always been very interested in entrepreneurship, and when I was looking for a master's program that specifically focused on entrepreneurship, there were very few programs in the country. After researching the MSEI program at USC, I discovered it was a perfect match for me due to its highly personalized curriculum structure,” he says.
Since starting classes in August, Ben says that his favorite class thus far is BAEP: 552 Venture Feasibility with Jill Kickul, due to the “team based structure of the class”. He adds that “every week we complete work in our groups where we tackle real-life issues that entrepreneurs face when starting up a venture.”
After graduating, Ben says he would like to be part of a new venture or transition into a full-time role in the media/entertainment industry. Fight On Ben!
