Romina, describe what you thought being an adult would be like vs what you’ve found it to be like 👉🏽 “I came of age watching SATC on Sundays in the early 2000s, so I thought once I move to NYC, being an adult would be what I felt was the core of the show - independence, hanging out with my hot friends, having interesting careers and endless dating experiences. While being an adult is far more complex, in thinking about this question I found that the core of my adult life IS what I thought it would be when I was 16 in El Paso. Independence, hanging with my hot friends, interesting careers, and even more interesting dating lives. What they don’t tell you though is that (unless you come from wealth) it doesn’t happen immediately.
