🐐why I used goats to clear my farm instead of a lawnmower 👇🏾 🐐The land was initially covered in raspberry bushes, brush, cacti, and mustard grass that’s gone to seed. As much fun as it can be to let grasses go wild, clearing is necessary for crop production and fire prevention in LA. 🐐I decided to utilize goats from @venturabrushgoats because, unlike using a lawnmower or weed wacker, goats don’t spread seeds around. They digest the plant material and it’s seeds, and poop out fertilizer pellets! 🐐99% of the seeds are destroyed when the goats eat them 🐐I’m committed to regenerative agriculture, and goats regenerate land by adding carbon back into the soil 🐐goats are cuddly 🐐goats don’t require gas! They’re fueled by the brush that they’re clearing.
