I was so excited to watch @disneypinocchio from the moment Tom Hanks was announced at Geppetto 😍 Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pinocchio was a childhood favourite of mine, we recently loved the ride at @disneylandparis and as soon as we came back a few weeks ago we watched the original. I really enjoyed the new Live Action! I have seen a few comments that the old 2D version of Pinocchio in a CGI animated movie looks odd but I remember when The Lion King Live Action came out and quite a lot of people were upset because they all looked like real animals 🤣 I personally loved the fact Pinocchio looks the same as the original animation, just more realistic. I thought Tom Hanks couldn’t be anymore perfect as Geppetto, he plays every role with so much empathy that you just feel everything his character does. Joseph Gordon-Levitt smashed it voicing Jiminy Cricket and Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy 😍 I just wish you could have heard her stunning voice sing more in the actual movie. A few comments were that the film was a scene by scene reanctment of the original with no originality. I do agree it was almost a scene by scene which I personally enjoyed and found nostalgic but I disagree it had no originality. I loved Fabiana’s story with her Puppet Sabina and that through her character we found out that Stromboli’s got his comeuppance, which you never had in the original. I just wish you found out what happened with the children at Pleasure Island, but then I suppose like the original, the moral of the story is... don’t be bad 😂 I loved Honest John adding in ‘Influencer’ into his list of aspiring jobs. Yes it was weird to hear, but so many are aspiring to be influencers now and you can have it as a living so why the heck not 🤣 I did find there was not as much humour, especially with Figaro. I think they could have had a few comedy moments with his character like the original. Overall I give it 4 stars out of 5. I found watching it really nostalgic and think it will have brought a Disney Classic black to life for the children of today, who will now watch the new version and the story of Pinocchio will live on 👏 What did you think?! #disneyplus #disneyplusuk #pinocchio
