Try doing something you can’t do, that’s where confidence comes from.” One of the messages I took away from Lydia Fenet, Founder & CEO of Lydia Fenet Agency who spoke on Monday. I came in search of Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta dresses at the Women’s Committee Luncheon, but left with a bit more inspiration for my own life. The goal of the Ladies of Madison Ave. is to be inspired by great women and I certainly was that day. The Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy hosted their annual Winter Luncheon at the Madarin Hotel and raised over $310,000 to maintain the park’s beautiful playgrounds. My favorite look of the luncheon however, was an all red look. All red looks are in several Proenza Schouler ad campaigns and I recently photographed one of the young women at the Winter Show in an all red look as well. Marilyn Kirschner donned red socks. I was also happy to see the fabulous Sharon Jacob that day.
