The Divine Marian McEvoy Marian McEvoy is the former Eurpoean editor of Women’s Wear Daily and W in Paris. She is the founding editor of Elle Décor, and former editor-in-chief of House Beautiful. Ms. McEvoy has also been imortalized in Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. This evening at the KRB store on Lexington Avenue Marian McEvoy unveiled her collaboration with Schumacher @Schumacher. Marian McEvoy sat glamorously in black silk organza, strands and strands of pearls, a white camellia, and a black maribou vintage Yves Saint Laurent jacket that she has loved and kept for over 40 years. It is said by many, Ms. McEvoy was one of Yves Saint Laurent’s muses. She insists this is not true, that he inspired her. However, something tells me if you were invited to Yves Saint Laurent’s private home in Morocco, viewing sketches on the floor you must have been, at least a-MUSE-ing. In collaboration with Schumacher Ms. McEvoy has designed fabric and wallpaper, inspired by her home. My favorite being Pretty Petals in soft yellow and blush and a wallpaper called Bow-wow-wow, a zebra esque print in a bow with tassels.
