I haven’t been doing many hard posts lately but this guy deserves one on his birthday. I remember seeing @jimmy_wilkins at the Encinitas YMCA every time I skated there in the early 2000’s. He skated the vert ramp and I rode the pool down below. It was probably a year or so before we actually met for real. A funny thing about those Y days that I just remembered; I don’t recall ever seeing him skate that ramp. The first time I actually saw Jimmy skate was at @buckylasek around 2009 and he was doing the highest and most stylish ollies I’d ever seen (y’all know what I’m talking about).
