Karst Relja Cupic and Alex Gvojic art installation Partisan Fighter Monument Gorica hill, Podgorica, Montenegro 8, 9th July from 22 to 01 h. Montenegro lies in the Karst mountains near the Adriatic coast, through our history offering excellent means to resist or attack invaders from behind protecting rocks. Installation emerges as the answer to artistic adaptations to the environment and cultural-historic development. Ideas represent collective thoughts resulting from the worldwide contact together with the specific cultural phenomena dwelling in these rugged deserts. The location itself is a symbol of the city of Podgorica. Therefore the warriors, guarding the crypt gate and standing for stubborn liberty, engraved with the words ”they who loved freedom more than life” . The installation is the affirmation, an attempt expressed in the sacralized spirit of rites, created in a sense of an almost totemic nature.
