It’s Earth Day. 🌏 One of my favorite days. Not because it’s trendy. Not because it’s on a calendar. But because it reminds me— this planet? She’s everything. She holds us. Feeds us. Lets us dance, dream, build, destroy, rebuild— and still, she shows up. But we? We move fast. Always running. Always reaching. Eyes on the next thing, mind on the past, feet barely touching the ground we owe everything to. We take. We use. We forget. But what if— what if we paused? Just for a beat. Just long enough to feel the earth beneath us. To hear the wind hum truth through the trees. To remember that this planet is not a resource— she’s a relationship. She gives us mountains to climb, oceans to float in, fields that scream freedom with every blade of grass. She gives us gravity— literally pulling us back when we float too far from ourselves. She says: “Come back. Be here. Feel this. Now.” And yeah— she’s wounded. You can see it in the melting ice, the burning forests, the rising tides. But still— she breathes. She heals. And maybe, just maybe, we can too. So how do we start? Not with guilt. Not with shame. But with gratitude. A simple thank you to the ground below and the sky above. Touch the earth. Pick up your trash. Plant something. Protect something. Speak her name with reverence. Because love isn’t just a feeling— it’s an action. And gratitude? Gratitude is the seed. Let it grow roots.
