BACKSTORY: Sara and I never saw our wedding band before our wedding. No video clips. No YOUTUBE videos...no interview...nothing. We got a recommendation for a band prior and went with it. So....when we had our first dance it was the first time I ever saw the band. Our first dance was to Hopelessly Devoted. When the lead singer started singing I whispered to @sarablakely “This singer is so good. She sounds exactly like Olivia Newton John. This band is going to be SICK.” Well, it was Olivia Newton John. Sara had asked Olivia to sing our first song as a surprise. Olivia was Sara’s childhood idol. It was unbelievable. As it turns out, Sara and Olivia because quite friendly after this and I got to see Sara interview Olivia at @spanx in an amazing session. Then, Sara bought the original black leather pants from Grease in an auction as well as her pink Grease “Sandy” jacket. The iconic pants still hang on the walls of @spanx today. So sad to hear the news of ONJ passing and sending much love to her family. 🙏 #GreaseLightning
