76 years ago today, the US dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Looking at these landscapes of Hiroshima, which Harry Mimura shot in 1946 roughly a year later, I cannot imagine what my grandfather went through after such devastation. My grandfather turned 15 the day the bomb destroyed his home. Today, he is 91, and doing impressively well. He’s a resilient guy.
