“THANK YOU “ I can still hear the overwhelming support from the full UBS Arena crowd in our last game of the season. I always knew the NY Islanders had a very passionate fans, but last Friday was truly so special. Your support of our team in both good and bad times is remarkable. No doubt we fell short of our team goal, but i have no doubt this group will bounce back next season. The final moments of the season told me a lot about the game, respect and appreciation. I couldn't help but take a minute to soak it in myself after the unbelievable chants “Let’s go Islanders” and “Chara...Chara...” Thank you fans. We are so grateful. I would like to thank our entire New York Islanders organization and ownership group, led by Mr. Scott Malkin, Mr. Jon Ledecky, Mr. Dewey Shay and the Charles Wang family for giving all of us a new home, UBS Arena. Special thank you to Mr. Lou Lamoriello for his everyday commitment to make this team better on and off the ice. Also to Mrs. Joanne Holewa for how much she does behind the scenes every single day. Thank you. Thank you to all of the coaches, lead by Barry Trotz, for preparing us and believing in us during some very challenging times this season. Thank you. I know I can speak for our entire team when I say that our Medical /Physical staff, Equipment trainers and Chefs worked so hard and did amazing job to have everything ready for the opening of the UBS, as well as the entire season. Trust me, we're very grateful for that. It's something we don't take for granted. Thank you To all of my teammates. Thank you guys for everything you did for me and my entire family.
