Step away from the thinning shears!!! 😂😂😂 Many stylist who aren’t curly hair specialists will reach for thinning shears to try and thin out curly hair. But for most wavy and curly hair this is absolutely the worst thing you can do. Why? Because thinning shears cut the hairs at all different lengths which leads to the curls struggling to form and being WAAAAAY more frizzy that they would without thinning. So don’t be afraid to say no thanks to the thinning shears. A good hairdresser will be able to decrease any heavy bulkiness in your curls with layers which will help the curls fall nicely. I know there will be some of you who have had your hair thinned and like the results and that’s 100% ok! If something works for you then carry on by all means.
