Overthinking, overworking and even over playing has been my life style the last 4 years. It started as a quest to LIVE my best life after a deep dark depression but it slowly turned into a fear of not living and doing enough so I just started doing it all even if it meant I was left exhausted and anxious . The results of this extra “living” have been less than perfect not because I didn’t get the tasks done but because I’m no longer sure that getting them done all together was worthy of my mental well being and true happiness . In order to be truly happy we need to first be able to be present in the moments we are trying so hard to achieve. Even in the process of working on a project or goal the process is what the best part is because that’s when growth is happening and memories are forming. Sadly, I’ve been so focused on getting it all done that I have not been able to enjoy the process as much or to really even see the wins because I have been so busy moving on to the next task on hand. So this year, I am on a new journey and my main priority is to be present, to take on one task at a hand, be kinder to myself, and to work on not being attached to the outcome. Basically to actually just be a human being, not a human doing.
