It is with heavy hearts that we share of the passing of a beloved and important member of our Greenmarket community, Mary Graves of @berkshireberries. You may not have met her (she was a behind-the-scenes kind of lady) but you’ve surely come to love her jams and jellies over the years. As head jam maker at Berkshire Berries, she created over 30 original jam and jelly recipes that have been sold at Greenmarkets for three decades. She was a loving wife and mother and she was a generous, kind soul who always traveled with her famous raspberry jam on hand to give to people she met along the way. She passed peacefully earlier this summer with her husband, David, and daughter, Heather, by her side following a courageously fought battle with cancer. She loved our fellow animal friends and one of her final wishes was that David and Heather adopt a puppy before she passed. The family found Snowy, or perhaps you could say Snowy found them, and she’s quickly become a market darling, carrying on Mary’s loving spirit. 💚 We’ve shared Mary’s full obituary from the Country Journal at link in our bio.
