One too many by @sleepingplanes “June 2021 was my first time traveling post-pandemic. I was in Downtown Los Angeles, which felt like a completely different world from my previous visit in 2019. Many favorite places had shuttered, and skid row felt more unpredictable than usual. Early one evening, I went for a walk and, while stopped at a corner taking photos, I caught a couple out of the corner of my eye. The woman was limping and stumbled around a bit. She was with her partner, and I assumed she had maybe had too much to drink. When they passed me and got to the end of the block, her head-to-toe leopard outfit grabbed my attention. As I looked down, I noticed the half-missing shoe as they crossed the street. When they came to the corner of 8th street, she paused before crossing, one foot hovering perfectly in place, and I snapped this shot.”
