“I was attracted by the diversity and brilliance of both the student and professor body. I was eager to develop a close community after the pandemic, and the Trojan family through Marshall provided me with so many professional development and social connection opportunities which I deeply appreciated,” says Chris Yang, an undergraduate student at USC Marshall majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Chris shares that BUAD 304: Organizational Behavior and Leadership has been one of his most memorable classes at USC. “It taught me how to become a unique and undeniable talent in today’s highly competitive labor market. Through exercises based on real-life problems, I was able to reflect about the lessons I have learned in my day-to-day professional interactions.” Outside of the classroom, he is involved in ASCEND USC, a professional networking and leadership organization on-campus that helps students leverage their leadership and global business potential. He shares that “Ascend is the most welcoming and versatile organizations at Marshall. Our team works really hard in developing a welcoming and inclusive culture for our members while providing them with unique professional resources.” Chris says that he plans to utilize his entrepreneurial background and the knowledge he has gained in Marshall classes and in his involvement in ASCEND to work in the consumer solution/marketing industry after graduation in order to further his passion in advancing company efficiency and providing customer values. . . . . #usc #uscmarshall #studentspotlight
