Last night was a celebration rich with love, as it always is when the 🦄 🌈fam gets together...I’m especially grateful to have been a part of @Glaad ’s #SpiritDay in this very crucial time, when there are people rallying for the erasure of LGBTQIA+ stories in our children’s education...Our education should includes all the ways we love, the ways we relate, the ways we have defined gender, the ways in which human beings have existed and expressed. The practice of erasure is one of the oldest tricks in the book, because it allows for the false narratives to reign supreme.. it robs humanity of the opportunity to know and understand where it is we come from, who we have been, and where we hope to go...It is so important that young people have access to honest depictions of our history so that they may grow to be better than we ever were...so that they may see themselves and find role models within our shared history.
