Skins & Needles Laura, @skinsbarberslaura , is head barber at Skins and Needles in Middlesborough and she tells us about the latest summer trends she sees dominating the market. “We are seeing a lot of low skin fades with a textured combover. I think this one’s going to be a really popular style this year!” “To create the look, I start with the colour. I always prebleach the hair to lift it to a blonde, then I add a metallic silver toner to eliminate any of the brassy tones that were left from the bleach process earlier on. To cut the hair I start off with foils, moving onto a back and sides which is faded into a number two.
