Here’s exactly how I healed my gut and learned to tolerate WAY more foods without getting bloated 👏🏼 When it comes to getting rid of chronic gut issues like bloating, constipation/diarrhea, etc... most people have it all BACKWARDS. We’re taught to avoid fiber like the plague. We’re told to go on ultra restrictive diets, and avoid any food that causes any sort of digestive discomfort. I’ve had clients come to me who have been on low FODMAP diets for YEARS because that’s the only thing that will give them any sort of relief. But here’s the truth... When it comes to chronic GI issues, it almost ALWAYS stems from an imbalance of bacteria in your gut. We don’t feed our good gut bugs NEARLY enough nowadays. And as a result, this creates the perfect environment for bad bacteria, fungi, and parasites to start overgrowing and causing tons of unwanted symptoms. And while many people with IBS have a REALLY hard time tolerating certain fibrous foods... it doesn’t mean you should just avoid them forever. In fact, thats actually going to make the problem WORSE and make you less tolerant to those foods over time. You have to start somewhere. And the good news is, there’s certain fibers that can help to start feeding your good gut bugs - without causing a lot of the unwanted bloating that you might get from other fibers. For people with sensitive tummy’s, I recommend starting with either: - SunFiber (partially hydrolyzed guar gum powder) - Acacia Powder - Psyllium Husk Powder While these powders are low FODMAP and less likely to cause irritation, you still want to start LOW and go SLOW. Start with maybe 1/4 teaspoon, and slowly increase the amount over a couple weeks. Once your gut begins to heal, you can experiment with other prebiotic fiber powders that will help to feed your good gut bugs even more! - Microbiome Labs MegaPrebiotic - Resistant Starch Powder These have a higher likelihood of causing bloating, but can really take your gut health to the next level if you can get your a point where you can tolerate them. Same thing as above... start with a SMALL amount and slowly increase the serving over time. Try it out and let me know how it goes! 🫶🏼
