Meet The Salon — a forum for South Asian artists and executives in entertainment to connect and collaborate, share resources, facilitate mentorship, drive public advocacy, and disburse grants.💯Founded in 2019 by @nikdodani, @bashnaran, and @vchhibber, The Salon’s mission is to accelerate the creative development of South Asian-American television and film through community organizing and empowerment.✨ A few weeks ago, they celebrated three years of existence and the work they’ve done to create more space for aspiring South Asian filmmakers, writers, producers, directors, showrunners, executives, musicians, designers, editors, investors, agents, managers, assistants, actors, comedians, and beyond. 📌From the words of co-founder & actor @vchhibber: “For a long time, our community has operated under the premise of scarcity; like I can be the only one. We want to shift the paradigm to ‘we, not I.’ Because we’re leaving so much on the table and we can do so much more, together.
