The location tag reads Cape Coast Castle. Wrong. Dungeons... where my ancestors were held captive. Tortured, beaten, and left to die if they retaliated. Waiting for the abysmal journey to the “new world”, exiting the door of no return. Their spirits are still there. Their tears and blood compounded into the grounds. What an emotional day. But what a blessing to realize without their strength and resilience, I would not exist.
