~Awakening the Senses~ To awaken before the earth, is to witness a spectacle of the divine. As layers of light and color are slowly added to the landscape, stripping it of its shroud of darkness. A poetic symphony of canyon wrens and crows echo their morning anthems through the sleeping chasms. Brisk, desert air comes to life with the gentle breeze. As sunlight begins to crest over the horizon, bringing a welcomed warmth to a red rock morning. Scents of earthy stone, fragrant pinyon pines, and a fusioned aroma of the various cactuses, sage, and shrubs fills the air.
