To the self-proclaimed oddball (though the VOGUE+ team likes to see it as experimental), identity or sense of self is by no means concrete. Rather, an ever-evolving nebula of collected fragments. "I think we have much to learn from the things people might label as 'weird' if you would only open your mind. I really treasure the oddness of life." Dou is accurately aware that at any given point throughout history, there has always been a tendency for the mainstream to label innovation, new ideas, unconventional thinking as 'strange' or as negative 'outliers'. In reality, some of these 'weird' thinkers are so far ahead of their time that they carry this label for their entire lifetime in a society that cannot keep up.
