Saying hello to a new chapter and a new name here.
I have felt an undeniable pull to make this shift on my page for some time.
I created this account for my cleaning and organizing business, Poppy & Co Cleaning — filled with behind-the-scenes moments from my day-to-day in clients’ homes as a professional organizer and business owner.
After our first daughter was born, life shifted for us. I quickly felt the strain that running a business and managing a team of employees solo can bring.
While I preached about and spent my days caring for and bringing order to others’ homes, ours slowly fell apart behind the scenes. The notion that “the cobbler’s children have no shoes” suddenly hit too close to home.
While I was so proud of the brand and business I had built, I couldn’t push away my yearning to slow down and take care of my own.
So, I let go of my cleaning teams and paused client work. I took time — time to heal, time to care for my physical and mental health, and time to lean fully into my new role as a mother.
I have found a joy I didn’t know existed in the beautiful, raw, magic, messiness that is life and motherhood.
And that’s what I want to share here — the joyous, messy, round-and-round again endeavor of keeping and caring for my home and family.
I don’t know what the future of my business holds, but I truly believe one thing: my days spent stirring oatmeal, matching socks, and nurturing little minds are never wasted ones.
I look forward to working on projects and taking clients as life allows, and to leaning into this season of life in The Hubbard Home. ❤️
