After trying for eons to exfoliate my breakouts away, a few years ago I began experimenting with virtual personalized skincare services (telederms so to speak) and finally found my sweet spot with @hi_apostrophe They offer treatment plans for rosacea and wrinkles too, and you can have active ingredients combined in their compounding pharmacy (such as tretinoin for acne and azelaic acid for rosacea in the same bottle.) Alternatively, they can prescribe them in separate bottles as well if you’d rather apply one in the AM and one PM. They’re simple and easy to use. Answer a few straightforward questions about your skin and health, take a couple pics and upload to their site, and you’re matched to a board certified derm who assesses your skin and goals then prescribes your formula. It ships straight to your door in about a week, probably less. Your formula isn’t set in stone if you don’t want it to be. I began with niacinamide and azelaic acid, and while it helped, it just wasn’t giving the results I hoped for. I explained this concern to my provider. He immediately changed the formula to my current one that I’ve had amazing results with for at least a year since, .05% tretinoin (often sold under brand name retin A) and 15% azelaic acid. My shipment comes every 3 months and this is ideal as my bottle lasts me about 3.5 months and also because tretinoin is known for not having a very long shelf life. But where @hi_apostrophe really stood out to me among others like it that I tried was the responsiveness of my provider, and the fact that I don’t have to auto ship if I don’t want to. And if I do schedule auto ship, I’m sent many many reminders about my upcoming shipment, so I have the option to update my credit card, pause or skip the shipment if I need to without having to worry too much about it (as a procrastinator I appreciate this 😁) I think @hi_apostrophe is great for those of us who are in rural areas, don’t have insurance, who want to combine different prescription strength active ingredients, or who don’t have the time to do in office visits.
