The Last Ride (2022) • When I met @sidhu_moosewala to gift him my artwork, the meet up lasted no longer than 15 minutes. But in that short amount of time we were able to talk about our careers and inspirations and why we do what we do. He had much time for me despite being with many of his crew members. Out of curiosity I asked him who was his inspiration and he mentioned “Tupac”. • As many have come to understand, Sidhu’s last song “The Last Ride” cover design featured the crime scene where Tupac was murdered in his BMW in the same tragic way Sidhu was gunned down today. I was absolutely baffled by the realisation of this. • I wanted to send my farewell to someone (through art) who gave me much love and appreciation but mostly his time. For me, this is how I see ‘The Last Ride” and that having Sidhu finally meet with his inspiration, none other than Mr Shakur, in his BMW. • I’ll carry fond memories of my time with Sidhu and the mark he left on the industry. He spoke highly of my work and my last video has me in tears still. A true game changer in love with his passion. Just gutted. Absolutely heartbroken. • Love my brother. 🤍
