Not all wounds of war are visible. Yulia, 9, lives with her parents, sister, and grandmother not far from Ukraine's northern border. The village experienced active fighting for over a month in the early spring of 2022. The entire family suffered from the fighting. Yulia couldn't sleep alone and was frequently sobbing. Now, when there is a loud car, she rushes to hide. The emotional effects of war can have a lifelong impact on children. That's why we're working to provide children living in conflict with support to strengthen their mental health and psychological well-being.
