Bondi is one heck of a busy beach, particularly at sunrise. Covid lockdowns, working from home, and years of constant rain or bushfires all contribute to amassing sunrise crew nowadays...it's a good vibe, especially when the sunshine is flooding in - smiles everywhere, everybody says g'day.⁠ ⁠ Bondi is ranked the 5th busiest beach in the world, tailing two Chinese beaches (Dameisha & Dalian), then Ipanema (Brazil - Rio) followed by Magaluf in Majorca - then us, good old Bondi. ⁠ ⁠ Some people dislike Bondi when it's fully cranking, but I hope this summer is a big one - hot and busy - like it used to be (our local businesses need it). The last time we had a big 50,000 crowd was years ago.⁠ ⁠ Waves are limping but surfable, 1-2 foot. Maroubra, Manly and other East exposed beaches would be entertaining more swell.
