1998: Jim Bronner (son of Dr. Bronner) spends one year training his son, David, to continue the family business. Jim tragically died from lung cancer on June 12, 1998, but left David (our current CEO) with the groundwork for how to run an ethical business: "Stand up for the little guy. Speak truthfully. Take a step toward your fears. Learn from everyone. Let your responsibility for others ground you. Eat last."
