Five Tips to painting lines
1. If you’re painting lines close together, only worry about one side of the line at a time. The other side will be drawn when the other color goes down. It’s way easier and ends up creating a less bumpy result. When you go back over spots and fuss trying to get the perfect width, youre more likely to create bumps, this makes for a bumpier result.
.
2. Load your brush by dragging it so you don’t have a dollop at the end. What you see on the brush is how it’s going to be painted on the nail. Sometimes it helps to use paint thinner, some times wait a few seconds for the polish to thicken, or maybe just choose colors that have good one coat formulas
.
3. DONT BE SCARED OF LONG BRUSHES! I remember when I first started painting I thought the smaller the brush, the more control. I’ve learned when it comes to nail polish small brushes can give too much control. Short brushes are so sensitive to pressure and shakes you end up with more brushstrokes and wiggles. Long brushes are called stripers for a reason, they act like shock absorbers when your hand is a little shaky.
.
4. Skip the second cup of coffee 😂
.
5. Move the nail being painted along against the paintbrush in the opposite direction. This is especially helpful when painting your non dominant hand
