To my Baby daddy @eliclarkdavis — and to all the supporting daddies too who make Soleï’s life endlessly more magical @t.patch @davidyarus @elliottlarue fatherhood is a wild ride. For the first few years, it can be in a supporting role, where dad more often jumps in when mama needs - and it takes an extra sense of attunement, patience and softness to play this role. And raising a kid just as two parents is also a new experience. Children were raised by the tribe and village. It takes many perspectives and many humans to create and support a whole child —and so mom and dad don’t go cray. So today I want to pay homage to all the daddies, primary and secondary. who show up eager to be of service, who are courageous and strong, soft and kind and really make the experience of parenting joyful, playful and rule free.
