“Don’t let these videos that are out on Instagram confuse you, Don’t let (In general like) the nature of the dance industry make you feel like you have to be something that you’re not. We live in an age where things are hyper sexualized and that’s a real thing but it doesn’t necessarily mean that you always have to go there. Now if you want F*** it up, get lit and have the fun, by all means do the things but just know that doesn’t always have to be you, that doesn’t always have to be the way that you want to speak to someone or speak about yourself. Does that make sense? I love this piece and this song specifically for those reasons because she’s being so classy and sexy at the same time (it’s very tasteful) and a lot of music has just lost the essence of that today. So I really really wanted to encapsulate that in this piece.
