Some of my favourite viewing experiences this year. I was so lucky to watch all but two of these in a cinema which increases my love of a film by a large amount. The lost daughter. Stunned by the honesty of this beautifully crafted film. Tick tick boom. More moved that I expected, glorious performance Passing. Restrained and compelling with a layer of meaning that I simply loved Bo burnham inside. A bit in awe that he made this Nomadland. Quietly engrossing and thought provoking. Amazing soundtrack Licorice Pizza. A lot of fun Dune. No film has looked better than this for ages. Like an art house blockbuster and so I loved it... mostly Sound of metal. Powerful. Great ending Supernova. A rumination on love and loss, it really moved me The French dispatch. Loved the style. Is it peak Wes Anderson? Probably. And I also found it more assured and comfortable than the last few.
