Much is happening at the farm. Dahlias are blossoming, though bloom time is greatly lengthened due to the climate most of the season. The evenings are beginning to feel like fall and we have reduced our watering times everywhere except the dahlias. As their season started late, we are going to extend our summer water patterns a little longer. This weekend we have our annual Open Visit day through @thegardenconservancy. Space may be available and you can contact via https://www.gardenconservancy.org/. They manage everything and are a wonderful organization - and the only national garden visiting program. We also have another charity event this weekend. On Sunday, the farm is giving a fabulous Jamaican lunch and all the proceeds go to building a new rec park for our town. We believe community is very important and the rec park will be central to bringing us even closer together. The food is guaranteed to be scrumptious and our porch setting is a delightful place to spend some time. Due to the success of our sold-out dahlia workshops, we have added one more on Saturday, Oct.1. This year, it's the perfect time to see the fields and talk about the changes in dahlias from season to season. Yes, a fall dahlia can be quite different than one that grows in the summer. Info can be found by clicking link in bio. Of course, it is great to sign up for the mailing list at our website so you'll be the first to know about our upcoming tuber workshops and sales. šŸ“· Pictured here is the ethereal Caramel Antique dahlia. New to us this season, we have all been captivated by its heavenly feeling and subtle hues.
