Let's hear it for the girls of LES GIRLS ('57). Based on a story by Vera Caspary, this George Cukor directed film stars Mitzi Gaynor, Kay Kendall, and Taina Elg along with star of the day Gene Kelly. Caspary's original story was inspired by an article which appeared in The Atlantic, however, only her title was used for the film. She later quipped she was the highest paid writer in the world, having been paid $80,000 for writing just the two words: "Les Girls". #SummerUnderTheStars
