We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Hilaree Nelson. As one of the world's greatest athletes and adventurers, we are honored to have had her in the Mountainfilm family and as our Guest Director. She was humble and vulnerable on stage and tough beyond words. Hilaree always had a sparkle in her eyes that seemed to await her next adventure. Anyone who knew her loved her energy and enthusiasm. Hilaree’s love of adventure was contagious. She has been a mentor and role model to adventurers around the world and a trailblazer for women everywhere. Beyond her first ascents and first descents of some of the world's most epic mountains, she set forth a lasting example for all of us: Challenge what is possible, chase your passion, do not fear uncertainty and never stop pushing yourself. She embodied indomitable spirit and will forever be an inspiration to all of us. We are sending our deepest condolences and big love to Jim, her boys and her family. In honor of her life and memory, her family will always have a home at Mountainfilm.
