Neglecting your roots with product because you’re worried about them getting weighed-down. Are your naked curls frizzy without product? Then your roots will be too if they’re bare! Just avoid applying it to your scalp. 2. Not styling your hair and just slapping on some product. While this is fast and convenient, it can often leave your inner layers not evenly coated with product so the frizz pokes through from underneath. • Section for a more even coverage • Use a brush to evenly coat every strand of hair with gel, and help smooth frizz into curl clumps to tuck it away. • Try finger coiling right at the root for stubborn areas like gray hairs 3.
