Timing is a funny thing 💔 After our first miscarriage I decided I needed something to love, and that’s when we brought Vincey home - our little green and yellow budgie. She was the perfect little companion. She sat on my head, pecked at my glasses and made me laugh. She saw us through another 3 miscarriages over the years and whilst some will see her as just a bird, she was much more to me than that. She was the something permanent in my life when everything else felt like the complete opposite. Then Bernie turned up and it’s like they both knew why they were here - to protect us and in return, we would love them like our children, and so we did. Vincey has been unwell for a while which isn’t something I’ve mentioned here. Various vet trips and remedies have only worked for a few weeks at a time but ultimately we knew that things weren’t looking good. However, she kept going for months whilst we went through IVF, pregnancy and during the first few weeks of having Elias. But sadly on the evening of the wave of light, she passed away. I’m so sad that she’s not here anymore but so grateful for her and everything she did for me during some of the hardest years of my life. I like to think that she held out to make sure we were settled with Elias and she knew that finally, we were doing okay and her job here was done. Rest in peace my beautiful little green dragon, thank you for everything 💚🦜🌈✨
