On October 10, we found out that our sweet @natashabadiyi has stage 3 breast cancer. She has spent the majority of this past year supporting and helping her mother Tania through her own breast cancer journey. And now she has to start that process again with her own diagnosis. Tash, or Natasha to some, is like my sister. She has been my neighbor, my long distance best friend, my support system, my mentor, my movie date, my dinner date, my director, my producer, my go to for a good belly laugh and the one who always knows what to say. The effects of cancer go beyond the body; Cancer treatment is expensive to treat and a time intensive process that limits the ability to work. I have started a GoFundMe to lessen the financial strain of Cancer Treatment(s), to cover extended health insurance, living expenses and anything else that may come up.
