MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! I am extremely excited and honoured to announce my first solo exhibition! A PLACE OF OURS. Running from May 7th till Jun 10th at @blackcanarycoffee and as part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival @contactphoto . A Place of Ours is a documentary style narration on the meaning of home. Featuring images captured over the last three years in Ghana, it represents the evolving relevance of home in my art practice. As a love letter and salute to the people and moments that decorate everyday life. Additionally it portrays the evolution of masculinity from boyhood to manhood, within the context of our home, as a place where we come into being. There will be an opening reception on May 7th from 3pm to 6pm. 61 Sherbourne St, Toronto. This project means so much to me as a reflection on home and my life.
